From the decoder, this is October of 1959 Thanks for any help and info.Remington started numbering Nylon rifles in 1967 starting with 40000-419011.
Remington 1100 S Lookup Serial Numbers WereThe serial numbers were located on the bottom of the barrel, below and just back a bit from the front sight.![]() In February 1977 an A was added and the range was restarted at A2100000. These serial number series pertain to all Nylon rifles, not just Nylon 66s. My understanding is that when sent back to the factory for repairs, they stamped another letter on it to indicate that is had been repaired. It is sometimes difficult to determine which of the letters apply. Best thing to do is use the serial number trick above (wo serial pre 67, wserial post 67). Remington 1100 S Lookup Mac Spent 34Mac spent 34 years in law enforcement, campus law enforcement and emergency management before he retired. He is a former Federal Firearms License holder and private investigator. He has a BS in Criminal Justice and Masters Degree in CJ and Security Administration. He currently is an emergency management and security consultant as well as being a Revolutionary War Veterans Association Appleseed rifle instructor. He is a Second Amendment Foundation Life Member and NRA Life Member and Range Safety Officer. If I reverse the SX to XS, the guide says it was made in Dec 1969. When was mine built The J doesnt match up with your codes. Thanks. Beneath the receiver cover I have a 5 digit number stamped in red ink that reads 36559. It is a clip feed, please dont ever let me lose the clips I have as the new ones dont work in it. I watched the YouTube take down of one but it was a stock feed tube magazine and was wondering if the disassembly is the same. It has Serial Number 2113543 on the side of the receiver, and J L 8 on the side of the barrel. It is only in fair condition (initials scratched into receiver, scratched butt stock, missing rear sight). How could I date it It doesnt use the same code and I cant find the right one. Based on the barrel code (34 LZ) it was manufactured inFeb 75. Since it may be a employee purchased rifle perhaps he had a number put on it.
